need help fast

hello im geting a rainbow mantis in 1 1/2 weeks. Now i have a 2.5 tank with a shroom but its going in a 10gal. So i want to no if u use LR and water from my 55 well it be ok but im geting to buy new sand like Arag-Alive fine sand and well the tank need to cycle or what i have around 5lbs or LR for it then ill cycle some in my 2.5 after that well thats all i have thx o yeah it has a filter and heater for the 10gal.

Holy smokes, I had to read that very slowly and carefully to understand what you were saying.
-if your 55 is fully cycled, then use rock from your 55, a little water from it wouldnt hurt either.
