i have some galaxia that i just fragged out using a small chisel. the pieces are about 3 inch by 3 inch....
what is the best way to ensure they encrust the rock that they are on? do i lay them down on top of the rock? wedge them between the two rocks? is there something special i can do to make them grow?

also, are there any lps that a galaxia wont sting to death? that i wouldnt have to worry about its sweepers?
thanks!

They will eventually grow over what they are on and use it as a base. Mine was on the sand bed and started using the sand as a base to spread itself out on.

I have had one for 2 yrs that got too large for my tank and had to frag it all up. It wasn't too long before it started sprouting new heads all along the fragged edges.

I never had an issue with it stinging anything but it was placed by itself in the center of my tank. I kept the tank well feed with Phyto, Cyclopeeze and the like and never had an issue with feeder tentacles. It wasnt near any other LPS to see if it would or would not sting it to death....
In another Nano tank which we didn't do that it did have some long feeders that came out..

Since you already own one you probably have seen them out from time to time

I just sold mine it was a good 5in diam ball cut some frags before i sold it glued the base to a plug and few weeks have good 5 new heads fast grower.
