Need help on why my big accro is peeling

Another reef dependant
Hi all,

Just got up this morning and the tank water was milky.
Every fish, clam and corals looks fine except my big accro seems peeling off at the base and some tips. I don't understand why and need help here.
Param: ph:8,05, temp: 80.7F, Alk: 9 dkh, Cal: 350, Sal: 35ppt.

Recent moves:
-12% water change a week ago
-rebalancing a low calcium with 25ppm per 2 days 3 times with RedSee Trubo Crystal and once with Dow flakes.
- Cut and paste a big Leather yesterday morning with cyanoacrilate. He was lookin fine in afternoon.

Now the pics

if everything was fine till this pt, possibly cutting the leather released some toxins in the water, large water change, run some carbon. Is it poss you stirred up some sand where the leather was, perhaps some junk too, does the leather come in contact when expanded?

No, the leather didn't came in contact.
I made also two little peace of leather on 2 plugs. Maybe they are less happy and poor something in the water ?
But never heard of toxic leather?!

My guess would be the leather. They can release toxins into the water, especially if you were fragging it. Water change and run carbon.

ok then, I'll remove the 2 little peace that are not good looking. The big leather frag is happy like if never happened.

it looks like the leather is immediately to the left of it and you can almost see how the stream of toxins flowed through the acro and is killing it.

I've done a 12% water change this morning. It improved the cloudiness for a while but now its a little worse as earlier this morning.

I added a carbon filter over the carbon I was already running 24/7.

The big accro is peeling off slowly. I cut the center light over it.

Most corals looks fine but are less polyps extracted than this morning.

I'm about to do another 12% water change.

Skimmer is not doing its regular bubbles and not producing skimmate even pushed at its max.

Full thanks shot. The new leather cut is at the extreme right. The big leather in the middle has not been cut.

Close shot of the new cut which look pretty fine in the context. No big reaction like a contraction that could have followed the cut.

And this new frag was coming from here:

Third water change this morning, now 36% from the begining of this fun moment. This accro was clearly wasting my tank water. It went out this morning to see the sunrise!

agree the leather on the lower left could have slimed at night and landed on the sps causing this ..run carbon and water change . What salt do you use and have you changed types of salts used ? good luck . no other sps have been added to this tank correct?
Oh my didn't read the rest and just caught the pic of the coral damn shame I hate it when nice large established acros go out without a clue..there was no aefw correct? I don't think they even aefw cause that much damage in such short time...Sorry for your loss been there and yes it bothers me to see yours to date...
