Need Help picking fish.

My tank: is 125gal around 140pounds of LR, 1 powerhead at the moment but will be getting 2 Vertech Echo smart's in a few weeks.

I have a sump, skimmer ect.

Fish so far:
2 clowns, 4 blue green crom, 1 yellow watchman and 1 scooter blinny
3 coral so far.

Now I would really like some input on the types on fish that would be ok in my tank.
I would like to have 1 or 2 bigger fish but I know that I can't keep most tangs/naso's in my tank so.

What can I have?
I would like some fish types that you all think that I could keep in my tank.

Also I'm not looking for fish that I'll have to take out later do to getting to big for the tank if that helps any.
I don't like the idea of buying a fish putting it in it's new home for a year and then moving it.

Any help would be great.

I would go with anthias tricolor, bartletts and sunburst are some of the hardier ones,you cant go wrong with firefish also some wrasses like solom exquisite and members of the fairy wrasse family , since it looks like you are doing a reef tank

I think most tangs recommended tank size is at least 125gallons (for the larger ones) it just depends on what you like. For example you could have one zebrasoma sp. and one acanthrus sp. should work.

But not two of the same type, unless you maybe had three zebrasoma flavescens, but I'm not sure if 125 is ok for a group of tangs. You could also get one, maybe two dwarf angels *flame, bi-color, coral beauty, etc* but they may nip at polyps.

Another big fish you could have is one of the triggers that is a herbivore. I don't know the name of it.

More knowledgeable people will pipe up soon and give better advice.

Fairy wrasses, anthias, a couple bangaii cardinals, maybe some dartfish are all good choices, for the large fish, sailfin tangs are passive and are very good looking IMO, and maybe a copperband if you've done your homework and think you are prepared to meet its demands.

Well my wife and I had our hearts set on getting a blonde naso or a powder brown but they get really big I know that if you look on websites most of 99% of the tang's/naso's they say 75gal min but after reading and asking about them I don't think that most of the tangs would work for us.

As I said before I just can't see buying a fish than turn around and have to take it out a year later.
If I thought I was going to have a bigger tank in a year I might but dought it.

Powder browns do not get enormous by any means but they can have attitudes and a 125 imo would not be too small .

Bicalor anglefish
Perhapes Powder Brown.
What do you think so far?

Any ideas on other Angel fish? And when I say angel fish I mean dwarf.
Can i even keep them in my tank with coral?

I have a yellow tabg in my 125. I also have three female lyretail annthis and one maale their colors are vey nice. Angels are real hit and miss with corals although I do know a few people with dwarf angels in their reef.

As far as tangs go, I have a powder brown, a purple tang, and a chocolate mimic tang in my tank. IMO you can easily get away with some tangs in a 125, just stay away from the extra large species like the achilles, the naso, atlantic blue etc etc. I also have a copperbanded butterfly in my tank and it has become one of my favorite fish. They are also aiptasia eaters which is a BIG plus, but it did eat a clam I had once, so if your planning on keeping clams I would advise against the CBB.

I have had dwarf angels since I started a couple of years ago. I never had a nipper, the two species were Cherub and Potters (C. argi and potteri). I fall in with the frame of mind that while their nipping chance does depend on the specimen, a well-fed fish will be less likely to sample your corals. You could probably do two dwarves (I will be) as long as they are added at the same time and differently colored species. If you do some serious research, you may be able to attempt a pair of the same species, but from what I understand, that can be very difficult to do properly.

If you want a tang, I would suggest any Ancanthurus that is of a milder temperament (knowing they could all get mean), any Ctenochaetus, and any Zebrosoma except the sailfins. Definitely looks like the tang should be your last fish added if you get one.

Bicolor Angel may nip. I would replace him with a trio of Anthias.
I like Powder Tangs, so I would try.

A few Azure damsels really make the tank too. They are the only damsel I would try.... very mild temperment and never bother any other fish.

I really loved my blue throat trigger a male and female pair would be nice although if you want shrimp he may be a no no. I also hae a scribbled rabbitfish who is nice.
