Need help quick, trying to install powerhead

I bought a Turbelle Stream 6000 and am trying to install it now.

I ran into a problem. My tank is four sided, all of the cords run through a pipe in the middle overflow into the power outlets in the stand. See my WWW link and scroll down for an overview.

The problem is that the cord that connects the pump to the driver is hardwired, you can't disconnect it.

Can I cut the cable between the pump and the driver, and then splice it back together with wire nuts after I pass it down my electrical pipe and down into my stand?

Thank you so much, I would like to find out right away so I know if I can use this product or not.

Thank you
Josh

Actually you can disconnect it, read through the manual for illustrations. You just open the driver and unplug the pump.

You are the man!

Thanks for the great news. It was getting late last night so I only got into the manual as far as constructing my mounting hardware.

By the way, do you think it is safe to house the controller, driver, and other stuff within my stand which has high humidity air do to my sump?

I assume many people install the electronics in their stands. I was just wondering if the high humidity environment of a stand will shorten the life of the components?

What is your take on this?

If I had to guess, I'd say the manual probably states not to have the driver and other boxes near water. But for me, all of my stuff is in my stand within inches of my sump. I just need to know if that's ok.

Thanks
Josh

I would either put a lid on the sump, ventilate the stand or move the electronics outside. Any sort of water damage or corosion isn't covered under warranty and the driver is the single most expensive part.
