Need help with 36 inch T5 purchase

I am setting a new tank and need some help buying a T5 lighting fixture. The tank will be 36x24x20. I was thinking I could use a 6 bulb fixture, or do you think I need an 8 bulb?

I have always bought retrofit kits, so I dont know much about fixtures. It will go over a rimless tank.

I am also in search of a new skimmer. I have a ASM G3 but that wil be a little bit too large for a 75 gallon tank.

Please let me know any ideas

I would do 8 bulb for a 24" wide tank..
