Need help with an eviction.

I have a love/hate relationship with encrusting montipora and now I need some advice on getting a few of them out.

These in particular are well encrusted. I have to somehow cut the rock they are on to extract them.

I own a tile wetsaw, but the angles here are odd and the resulting flat rock would be ugly. Any thoughts on how to get them off without making a thousand frags?

Thanks.

What about using a chisel or pick? Or cover them up in epoxy

Thanks. I thought about aa chisel or a pic but I'm afraid of breaking all the other corals on the individual rocks. Think it can be done?

I guess I could just cover them with epoxy and attach other corals on top of them. That's a great idea.

Ive done the epoxy trick, and it works. Issue is depending o growth rate of encrouching coral. For me it has been Idaho Grape. Its back with in a few months. But epoxy makes it managable,.

take a firm tooth brush and scrub it, I have killed some that way in the tank. takes a while they don't go down easy lol

Oh boy, I got encrusting monti's everywhere. I hope they are far enough from my acros so that the acros get a chance to set up!
