need help with anemone I.D.

I recently purchased this beautiful creature from LFS and was told it was a BTA. From my experiences this looks to be an LTA can anyone help me verify one way or the other. Thanks in advance.

I agree it is a LTA, or M. Doreensis. They will only be happy in the sand for the long term FYI. I noticed you joined RC a few months back, welcome! As a word of caution, anemones, on average, do better in tanks at least 6 months old, so if you set up your tank in July as well the anemone may be difficult to care for.

The column will tell you for sure. No verrucae on a bubble tip

Looks like a LTA to me... but I agree with mrbncal - you will know for sure when you look at the column.

Yeah it has a column about 2 inches round and its extended about 8 inches long but it seems to love the rocks but it has complete protection from being in between 2 rocks and a crevice so it seems to like it there any feedback if I should move it to the sand or not

It will move where it wants. No sense stressing it by dislodging as they rarely stay where you want them, hahaha.
