I am not sure what these are called, but the "crimpers" that go on IV drip lines with the wheel to regulate flow. I tried looking online but could not come up with the name for it. Basically I am going the auto topoff route using the metered drip method and the standard valves dont control well enough the small amount I need. Thanks!!!!

i may have what you need. but, you may need to use the entire tubing. i'm a nurse and have some IV tubing. let me know.

That would be great. I was just planning on using them on reg tubing, but if the iv tubing is different then I would take some of that too. I need at least three of them. Right now I am sick AND at work, but later in the week would be great. I am in winter park too, in the baldwin park area. PM me with details! THANKS!!!!

this is what i have. take a look and let me know if it'll work

I was thinking of something a little different. They are a "wheel" moved by your thumb on a ramp. The more you move the wheel with your thumb, the more it pinchs the tube. does that make sense? I may be confused about what it does too.

After closer look, I don't think mine has a filter.....it has the parts at both ends and the pinch valve, but that's it.....

I just put one end in the tanks and the other in the acclimation container/bag and start a siphon. Then I adjust the drip rate, and check on it from time to time.....

It is the large part that is really white in the pic keithntracy provided.....it has a roller that pinches the tube as you described....

it looks like the white part in the lower right corner.

I am thinking someplace like skycraft or a medical supply store has got to have them cheap. But its hard to find something without a name. Pinchvalve is kinda catchie!

Actually, I think it's called a roller clamp (although I like Pinchvalve better...lol). Like I said, I have one here if you want to try it. If you go to a medical supply store, just ask for IV tubing. They may ask you what kind, just say gravity tubing. Some may also call the "Pinchvalve" a flow-regulator. :)

I have something called a "Pisces Pro Acclimator" thats basically the same thing as an IV rig. I'm a paramedic also so I used the IV setups for the longest time. I have extras if anyone still needs them.

are you friendly with your local veterinarian?

I used to get the IV drip sets for free when I only needed one or two - the ones I used had a wheel to roll on as a clamp and roll off to open -worked great.

mom and pop pharmacies that carry more extensive medical supplies will usually carry them as well

Good luck
