Need help with H. Malu too

I have a very similar issue with a new H. Malu as acsamples79 posted about .... but I did not want to steal the thread! Thought I would start a new one and answer some of the questions that had been asked in that thread as they pertain to my tank.

I added a small new purple H. Malu to a 90 gallon tank on Thursday. This tank has been up and running for 10 months. DSB - about 6". ATI 6 bulb fixture currently about 15" or so above the water (new upgraded fixture so trying to make sure rest of tank is acclimated to lights slowly). Parameters are: salinity 1.025, PH 8.2, KH 8, nitrate and phosphate reading 0 on API tests. Temperature ranges from 76-79 during a 24 hour cycle. Currently have the flow reduced to try to get the Malu to settle - running 1 MP40 on reef crest and only other flow is the return pump. Flow is pretty gentle throughout the entire tank right now.

Have just kept an eye on location and let it be until today. Just rolled it out from between some rockwork and placed it in an area with low flow - dug a small depression in the sand and placed a strawberry basket over it.

I've attached two photos - one of the first day several hours after acclimation and one just now.

The only other anemone experience I have had is the maxi-mini's in this tank, which settled in within the first hour and a LTA in my 180 which also dug in within the first hour or so and has thrived since.

Is this more of a problem with the H. Malu's? Is there anything else I can do?

You are doing all you can do right now.. just make sure it remains foot down, and if you must, dig a little hole for it.. It can take a few days for them to attach.
