i am trying to figure out what type of hanging kit would work with these lights.
http://www.aquariumled.eu/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=36

i cant seem to find out which types are compatable with these. i am a little afraid to build my own because god forbid it falls and breaks.... there goes a 500 dollar light. if you guys know a good universal hanging kit or know how to make one that is VERY STRONG and easy to make..... please tell me!!! :)

just my opinion. no experience with the unit.

but based on the pic at the very bottom of that web page it looks to be
designed to use some mounting kit that is expandable for different widths.

I see some holes on the light but I am unsure if you can get wire from one side
to the other.

It really seems like there is no clean way to hang it like a ATI lamp and you will
have to hack something up.

just my two cents based on a quick glance at the pics. I see no mention of hanging
options in the description. Almost like i would have to have it in hand to even guess.

i just did a google search and came up with this website forum post:

"hi heller
i know what you mean we are working on the site and i have been in touch with pacific sun to get as much detail as i can about the light units , this i know you can programme the lights from your blue tooth phone , you can set the light unit to hit the brightest light at noon then start to drop down as the sun would go down , you can set it to cloudy days so it never gets as bright , they come with hanging kits or legs to fix to tank , you can get them in modules so if you have it for a three foot tank then up grade to a six all you need to do is buy a new module , one master and one slave with makes it cheaper .
they also use cree leds that are rated at 3watts .
hope this helps

hi heller this is what i have just pulled of the web site
Pacific Sun "IO" BTEX 75W Cree Powered "

yada yada..

so you may want to just call and ask! it could be included.

the holes do go all the way through. at the bottom they are large and the hole get skinnyer as it goes up.

i bought them used for 6 months and the seller said they only came with legs. the problem with the legs is that i am using two fixtures and cant put two fixtures, both with legs on my tank. so i kinda have no chioce but to hang them.

I would think it would be fairly easy to retrofit a standard hanging kit to work. Did the seller offer to sell you the correct hanging kit?
