We bought some rock from premium aquatics and found this anemone on it. It was closed and we figured after being out of water 1-2 days it would be dead...but shocker it is healthy and happy:)

Based on the apparent size, I would not hazard a guess.

I would definitely keep an eye on it, leave it on the rock, surround that rock with sand to try and keep it isolated, feed it and grow it out :>)

it almost looks like a bleaching RBTA.... but yet it doesn't because thats not really bleaching.

yeah it is 1/2 rose color and 1/2 clear/white, it is eating fine and is currently under MH about 3/4 ways down in the tank.

It's diameter is a bit bigger than a golfball. (approx. 1 1/2 - 2 inches)

i have a bunch of these, got them in a trade. i was told they are rock anenomes. pretty cool looking almost look like mushrooms. one did eat my peppermint heh, finally found a way to get him out of my tank :D

yeah they do sorta look like mushrooms, wasn't sure what kind of anemone they are though do to the tips of them looking so much like BTA.
