Need help with indoor shark tank pond style!

I love Saltwater!
So having issues finding out the best way to construct a indoor pond? Not using bricks if possible. Looking at 5 ft wide 10 ft long and 30 inches tall. Then use a rubbermaid 150 Gallon as a sump... What do you guys think?

I think you will need a bigger sump and I would suggest looking at some of the plywood builds on here. I often joke around with my wife that when the hot tub finally stops working I am going to convert it to a reef pond.

Yeah sump isn't in stone yet but keep in.mind there won't be a huge Bio load in this system. And yeah plywood is an idea but with liners being cheap seems a safer way to go.

Yeah I just like having the sharks in a bigger area, down the road I could always put in a viewing spot.

if you contact a local pool company, you can have a actual steel walled pool built you your specs...they can do any shape you want...on ground pools are capable of being built above grade, but can also be built below grade too..it is stupid easy to add bulkheads where ever you want too. there is a tonne of different liners to choose from too...i am not sure how well a liner will hold up to the sandpaper like skin of a couple sharks though...only issue is you may need to have a bit of a concrete step poured around the base of the walls to keep them in place...and although i am not sure how, i am sure a viewing window could also be added...

my pond was framed in 2x4's wrapped with 3/4" plywood with a heavy 45ml liner.....was shaped like a homeplate. the pond was under my basement staircase with 2 MH pnedants and one stuffed under a stair. i ran a closed loop with no sump. had a hammerhead pump in the backroom that fed a large skimmer and 3 discharges to create a circular flow in the pond. i ran a drain pipe from the skimmer in the back room for mild surface agitation . used live rock and a bio tower off the skimmer for biological filtration . pond was 15' at the longest and 7' wide. had several blacktips sharks, a wobbygong, some goupers and an eel....the pond was only 16" deep with a 24" knee wall, no viewing window just lookdown

Mm ... any pictures? Sounds like something very easy to do, lol. I think mine will be very similar to.mine. also any diagrams on how your pluming is? Anything you would change? Thanks in advance!

Well went to tractor supply and the 625 is instock and waiting! Now need to start planning some plumbing and filtration issues? Does anyone see UV as a needed item?
