Need help with kalkwasser

Hi Guys,

I just bough myself a PM kalk reactor and I'm wondering since I don't have a sump and a top-off container, can I use the saltwater from my tank to mix the kalk powder (Please explain to me if the answer is no, what's is the reason) I just don't understand why people keep telling me I should only use R/O water and not saltwater, but they don't know what's the reason everytime I asked them.

Saltwater will precipitate the calcium carbonate out of the calcium hydroxide. It will make a mess and be unusable. It has to be mixed with fresh water.
