need help with mandarin

My baby mandarin hides in the rocks all day and im trying to see if he is eating but i havent yet. I add copepods weekly and hope that the mandarin is just eating on its own. should i be concerned?

When you do see your mandarin, is he picking at the rocks? If he is, that is a good sign, but if you never see him picking at the rock and his stomach begins to look pinched, then he is in trouble.

That is correct. If he is hunting, you should be good as long as there are sufficient copepods. If he is NOT hunting, the fish was likely caught with cyanide and will perish.
