i just bought a burrfish yesterday and i cant remember the full name of it, anyways i wanted to know more information about what they eat, if i can put a rbta in my tank with my clowns and not worry about the burrfish trying to eat it or anything. if you know anythin about them please let me know.

they like to eat shrimp,crabs,snails,i'm not sure but i think stony corals too.bad choice for a reef.
And they also eat smaller fish.

Does he look like this?
They eat small crabs shrimp and they just love worms.
It will also eat any fish he can catch

I found this.

Puffers are primarily predatory fish in the wild, though they do graze on algae as well. Acceptable foods include shellfish, crustaceans and hard shelled foods such as snails. A large variety of all kinds of live and frozen meaty foods are best. It is best to feed small amounts several times a day. Some of the suggested frozen foods include prawn, crabs/crabs legs, bloodworms (live or frozen), blackworms (live or frozen), silversides, and mussels. Be sure to wash these foods thoroughly before feeding. Live foods can include snails, crabs, crayfish, shrimp (these are good for keeping their teeth trimmed), and earthworms. Live fish will also be eaten but it is thought it may cause problems such as 'fatty" liver and so should be fed sparingly or not at all.. Puffers are not picky eaters and will quickly become adapted to a variety of prepared aquarium foods and an occasional algae wafer. Flake food is not recommended. Even though they may eat it, puffers will not thrive on it.

Seems to me that these are the sorts of questions that should have been asked before purchasing.

/Just sayin'
//Seriously though

just an fyi i did ask tjese quewtions, i was just double checking my facts and making sure it will be good in my tank and i was mostly wondering if i could put a rbta in my tank and not worry. also it is NOT a puffer it is a burrfish.

The stuff i copied was under the information for a burrfish.
I'm sure they have basicly the same requirements seeing how they are closely related.

The burrfish or spiny Boxfish (Chilomycterus schoepfi) is a member of the porcupinefish family Diodontidae.

looks like mine. Orbicular Burrfish... not the same thing as a spiny boxfish, or porcupine puffer. But no, I dont think he will bother a BTA, and will eat just about anything

yep exactly! thank you so much! i did as the pet shop all these questions, i was just double checking the facts because i heard puffers eat coral and i asked if burrfish do and they couldnt give me a full answer so i got rid of all my coral but i want to add a rbta and now i am deffinately gonna try it.

Should be ok I have never heard of a Burrfish eating an Rbta, Now the clowns might be a different matter?! :) Either way adding the Burr/spiny box/cute lil guy with big EYES after the clowns should be ok but like anything there is always an exception! I have one and have kept peppermints in with it so go figure?! Good luck and you will love this lil guy he has tremendous personality but i would stay away from some of those Gobies you were thinking about bcuz those would have a HIGH possibility of being Snacks! ......
