i have looked at the grocery stores, but the workers look at me funny when i ask for pickling lime

Thanks....

That's right. 2 tsp per gallon of topoff reservoir will MAINTAIN but not raise calcium/alk. Set the levels to what you want by hand-dosing alk/calcium/magnesiu supplements. When your stony coral and/.or clam get to where they have you dosing over a teaspoon of calcium supplement a day is the time to start doing this.

I use the same as jon.

I got mine at a local grocery store, but they don't carry it all the time. Look in the canning section. They should be starting to stock up on it soon as people will start to can there tomato's and stuff.

I've seen it often at the local grocery store. bring that picture and maybe the store employees will recognize it. ;)

thanks everyone.....

thanks everyone.....

hopefully i will find it....is this normally a liquid product or a powder? I have seen pickling salt, but i am assuming that the "salt" is not what i am looking for...

thanks....

Yep... Mine too.

just thought I'd post that for info.

Anyway if you dead set in using Mrs. Wages you can get it over the net as well.

But I'd also post in the St Louis club forums too, I'm sure they can tell you who has it.

FOUND!!!

FOUND!!!

Thanks for your help guys....i found Mrs. Wages at my local walmart.....i had looked there before, but i guess it was not the right season.....

now, for another question......how do you guys use it....i mean how do you mix it into your water in order to dose it into the tank....i think i read that it gets hot or something on that link i was reading.....if i wanted to mix 1 gallon, do you think i could use a cleaned out plastic milk jug and use some flexible and hard airline tubing to slowly drip it into my tank?

that's exactly what I do.
the reaction doesn't produce heat.
use cold RO water for best kalkwasser results.
