Need help with RODI

Hey guys,

I just put an old Rodi spectrapure 90gpd unit back into action. I initially replaced the pre-filter, carbon, and di filters. Tried it out and it was at 0 tds for a while then it went up to 10ish quickly. Just replaced the tfc membrane last night and now it's showing 2tds.

Does this di filter look worn to you? I've only made maybe 50 gallons with it so far. I also flushed the system for two hours after installing the membrane last night.

Reading are as follows:
Before membrane: 114
After membrane: 1
After DI: 2

Doesn't make any sense to me why it's more after the DI

Is the TDS reading 21 on the outlet? Any di resin?

Looks ok to me. Spectrapure makes both indicating and non-indicating DI cartridges. I believe the non-indicating ones like you have always look brown, where the others have more of a dark blue color that turns to brown over time.

Your DI is shot. Good DI resin would take the 1ppm coming out of your RO membrane down to zero.
