Need help with tank break down on 6/10

I am planning on breaking down my tank on Saturday the 10th and am looking for a few people to help out.

I would start in the afternoon probably around 2PM.
Saturday's activities will include.

Removing the rocks.
Removing the fish
Siphoning out the sand bed.
Draining the tank.
Moving the tank to the garage.

My main problem is I really need help moving the tank to the garage. I have three herniated disks and my wife will loose her mind if I try to move the tank. The tank was brought in by two kids so I'm pretty sure if I can get 4 people to help move the tank it will be more than enough. The tank is a 180 gallon all-glass tank.

What I can offer for your help ;)

Fish.
You can have the fish I still have left for free if you want. Obviously this one is on a first volunteer basis.

I've got a hippo tang, one spot rabbit fish, bunch of Lyre tail anthias(1 male 5 females), firefish, 6 line wrasse.

None of the fish have been sick or anything for 3-5 years depending on how long they have been in my tank.

Beer. That's not a problems at all. I even have wine. :)

I could also do pizza or I could make it into a BBQ day. So after we are done I can cook up some food, and we have a good old time! (I'm leaning towards BBQ)

So anyone free that day?

I'll help you out Joe. I have no interest in your hippo or 6 line, but the other fish interest me.

A 180 glass tank can be moved by two people. Going down the stairs, a third would be nice.

I can help too. Can use 1 or 2 lyretails if Larry dosent mind. I,ve been to your house before (tank Tour) but pm me the address again when you can.

Joe, I should be able to make it if I'm not working or have a makeup ballgame after this weeks wash outs..........

hi Joe,
what area are you in, maybe I can offer two hands for the move, let us know if you need buckets and bins too. no interest in fish, just a fun day would be great.

Joe,
I can stop by to help also.
Would be interested in the other 3 female lyretails that Ed had scratched and the firefish if there is no claim on her.

Larry, could we do the GBTA next Sat at Joe's since we'll both be there?

Joe,
Do you need 5g buckets?

I'd go for four. That tank can be a real back breaker. A mere 125 blew out my back when someone got in the way, and that 180 is a good bit heavier.

I hate to wait that long, it's been in my refugium for a week already under significantly less light than it's used to.

Thank guys.

I'll update the thread during the week with the people who have volunteered. Also I'll send out a PM Thursday with directions to everyone who volunteers.

pecan2phat, I think I am ok with 5 gal buckets, I'll take inventory and let you know.

Interest in FISH

DgenR8 Anthias (1 male, 2 female), Firefish.
edwadd, rabbit fish (He is full grown, a good 8")
pecan2phat 3 female anthias

Thanks again guys!

All PM's have been sent to everyone, with my address and number time, who offered to help breaking down the tank this tomorrow. If I missed someone (meaning you don't have a PM from me) let me know and I'll get it out to ya. Thanks again to everyone!

hey Joe and everyone--good luck today. I wanted to come but I would have had to bring my 3year old, so the best help I could offer is to NOT come LOL...(well I guess I could have brought beer or something:) ).

Car pool from East Meadow, NY 11554 for those helping with move.....PM me if interested.

Warren just call, Mike if you dont know my number or Warren's just PM me before 12:30 so we can coordinate.

all was well, everybody had more frags than they know what to do with...the tank and stand came down ok, few of Joes neighbors saw us with the tank and helped out too....

Thank you Joe for your generousity and hospitality.
