Hello R\C I need some help I have a 200 gal. tank that has been up and running since May of this year all my numbers are good had them checked by the LFS so in August I added my first fish which was a lawnmower blenny I also have in the tank 2 cleaner shrimp, 3 emerald crabs, 1 father duster, and 20 different type shrimp. So since I knew quarantine time for new fish is 4 weeks I order to clown fish which are now in quarantine. Wednesday evening while I was out my mother notice the lawnmower blenny swimming weird swimming on it's side and then swimming the way he should the on his side the upright again. By the time I got home he was dead I was devastated this was the fish fish I wanted in my tank, the crabs and shrimps wse eating him. So the first thing I did was chbecked my levels they were all right on the money so I don't understand what happen. My problem iis the clown fish are do to go into the DT in two days, but I don't want to put them in until I'm sure its safe so can they stay in Quarantine tank while I do a water change in the DT? How long can they stay in the QT? Anyh replies would be helpful and thanks in advance.

And what was the lawnmower blenny eating?
They need a decent amount of "lawn" to mow down or they die..

If there wasn't enough algae for him to eat he will die.You want to add a fish like that once the tank has been established.Buy a fish that wil take prepared food.

I agree with the others. Most likely starved unless you have visible algae in your tank that he could graze on. Did you ever see him eat anything?
