I just picked this up yesterday. The lfs I got it from doesn't know what kind of anemone it is.The foot is almost neon green, and fully open is around 4'' to 4 1/2'' across. I say Long Tentecal or Bubble Tip Anemone. The white lines around the mouth "almost" say its a Bubble Tip Anemone but some LTA have lines too.

The area around the mouth are more like patchs, and they are pink in color. It looks very differant from my btas .Ltas have the vercs or dots on their underside,It doesn't have those.

It's not the best, but you can see the bright green streaks.

Well the anemone made contact with one of my btas, out come was not good. The bta is in bad shape.I don't know how long it was there.

Thanks MarinaP , I was hopeing you would respond to this thread..I am still looking to try and find out what kind it is. It is very sticky and has aggressive feeding response.

After looking through some pics, it looks like a anemonia sulcata(snakelock anemone). From the info on this species it packs a mean sting.Let me know if it is the correct species. Thanks Again MarinaP

I do not know much about non-hosting anemones, so I cannot tell you what you have for sure. I would get rid of it, it already stung your BTA, corals and fish will be next.
