The wife brought this home the other day from work. It is one of those that you always see in gas stations filled with ice and gatorade or soda. It has a drain on the bottom back and wheels too. Any one have any ideas how I could use this? Shoot something out, no matter how weird.

place near barbecue. fill with ice and beer. cook something on barbecue, drink some beer. Enjoy the holiday!

salt mixing bin, unless you can somehow drill it and make a gigantic fuge out of it.

i personally like the beer and BBQ idea

Man, I was hoping someone would say QT or something along those lines ;) Think it would look cool with some small fish in it.

but using it as a QT would be tough cuz you cant watch the fish that well when treating it for something to see if its doing well with looks and swimming behavior

auto top off water reservoir? macro algea filter? refugium? sea monkey master hatchery!

whatever you decide, nice find! im jealous. can i have it? how bout the wife? :p jks

Hi
How about something like this

003-1.jpg

This is a bin that Ive got connected to my sump which basically adds another 120lts of water to my system & I bypass it when I do a water-change,drain it & refill it with NSW & bring up to temp & then put back online.
Its real easy & because its outside it dosnt matter if I spill any water.
Im really happy with how it works & I thought temperature would be my biggest problem but the last couple of nights have got down to 0 Degrees (We never go any lower than that) but with a 300w heater its stayed at 27 degrees.
Eventually I will enclose it in a insulated cupboard.

I think it could be used as a remote deep sand bed to reduce nitrate. Use a filter sock to process water going in so you don't create a nutrient sink. Fill it half with sand and half with water. The flow can be fairly low. It could reduce the percentage of water changes you need.
