What are these new "Daves boards" you are referring to [MENTION=118976]GlassReef[/MENTION]? If I can't fix my current O2Surplus board then I am also on the lookout for a 5up (6up preferred) board so I can also do moonlight that can hook up to my BF mini and I can daisy chain as I have 3 "units" that run in serial (6 chips in all). I have 2 of the chains (so 6 units or 12 chips) combining for a total of 11 channels including moonlight controlled by 2 x BF Mini's.
Everything I find to date is 4up

This is what we're referring to as Dave's boards. These are the custom boards that Dave Fason uses for his Nanobox fixtures. They are 6-up boards. On my Nanobox Retrofit Kit, I have one SCW driver for fan control and 5 LDD drivers for the 5 channel control over my Nanobox LED arrays.

Thanks for the info. I just talked (per email) to Dave about buying 6 of them.
I don't really know much about them but I'll be buying 6. I don't, yet, understand how they are supposed to be daisy chained.

I would imagine that jumper wires would work. If you look at my photo, you see along the bottom are the connections to the LEDs and fan. The connections on the upper left are the connections for the ribbon cable wires (that I linked to earlier) to the Bluefish Mini. The connections to the upper right are the (+, -) to the power supply. I would think that all of the connections across the top in my photo could be daisy chained with jumper wires. I’m sure Dave can easily walk you through the process.

Not that I know of. That is just a picture I took of my Biocube 29's dual Nanobox LED puck retrofit kit's 6-up board, drivers and Bluefish Mini. Once you see how it goes together it looks to be quite simple and straightforward. Hence my suggestion to Glassreef to contact Dave for his 6-up boards.
Dave's boards look very similar to the CoralLux 6up boards

I am deeply saddened to inform that Arron has passed away. I kept in touch with Aaron ( O2Surplus ) every few months through phone conversations and lost touch ~two months ago. His wife reached out to me to inform me and I plan on visiting his Life Celebration in September.
He was a great man and helped me in the beginning of NanoBox. I know he helped MANY others on here and different forums. He also introduced me to fly fishing which has been a life changing hobby for me.
Take a few minutes out of your day to think about him if he helped you!

David, I'm very sorry to hear that. My dealings with Aaron were all via PMs, so I didn't really know him personally. It was obvious that he was a decent man, with a will to help others, as he helped me. I wish his family and friends condolences, comfort and strength.

Damn, very bad news indeed. Aaron was very patient and helpful with me when I was setting up his 6-up boards to run my DIY LED setup. A very nice guy who will be greatly missed.
