I have a 60 Gal tank which I started out with lps and slowly grew a love for sps. At first I had 4 48" HO T5 bulbs with basicly 2 coral life 10k and 2 coral life atinics. As I decided to make the change to maintain sps and have the ability to make their colors glow I added in 2 more HO T5.
So heres my questions... With 6 HO T5 what is the ideal bulb combo I should use?
right now I am running the following:
1 ATI aquablue special
3 giesman atinic+
1 Fiji Purple
1 ATI Blue plus
This created a very nice spectrum but sps doesnt look to good as far as polyp extention, vibrant color, and not really growing. Some people say you can grow SPS on just runing all blues and purples others tell me I need at least 3 daylights and 3 can be atinics/purples.
What bulb combo do I need to get my sps looking healthy and colorful with keeping the spectrum not just looking yellow/white?
Additional information that may be needed:
60 Gal
Sump w/ small refugium
ASM G1 skimmer
aprox 15x turnover
1400 gph powerhead
amon- 0
trite- 0
trate- 0
phos- .03
calc- 410
alk- 8 - 9
ph- 8.1
temp- 79 F
salt- tropic marin
