need more flow ......

^^^^ so now im looking for a powerhead any kind would do something to get alot of flow in the tank.

if you are looking for something cheap buy some mjs and mod them
the mj12 with the white impeller they say will put out 2100 gph. i use them and love them.

does the mod help make waves????? it says turn it into a wave maker. if it does ill pick that up for sure. how many should i pick up for a 75 gallon mix reef tank.

no it just makes way more flow than stock mj pump would. i would get 2 and mod both of them. i have 2 running for my 110

there a a wavemaker set that sells 4 of them un moded with a wavemaker for 75 bucks is that really worth it. note its not the best wave maker just something to get it done.

or i might make a giant spray bar for the tank to run the whole length of the tank and down the sides with out ports but then id need a BIG pump.

this is what i did bought the mjs moded them found a good used wave make a few months later.
if you go with the 4 pumps on a cheap wave maker you will be using 2 times the power and getting less than half the flow. plus one thing nice with a moded mj is the flow is less concentrated and more spread out better for corals.

i think ima buy two when im in new york when i have some money lol a buddy of mine is up there now and says a lfs is selling them for 12.99 so ima check it out when im up there.
