System comes with 2 - 14k German Quality halide bulbs (we also have 10k, 6500k, or 20k bulbs available if you prefer different color please specify in your payment and you will receive)
A metal halide retro kit is made to be installed in a pre-existing canopy above your tank. To install you just screw into place in your canopy. You can also suspend reflectors with hanging kit or hanging chains.
Electronic ballast is very cool running- comes with 2 year warranty as well. Compared to magnetic ballast this unit is 70% more energy efficient. Save yourself some time and money with an electronic ballast.
The long reflective panel showed in pictures 1 and 2 are not included.
Ballast runs cool enough fan is not needed.
Reflectors are German Polished mirror reflectors for maximum reflectivity- they look much larger in real life as they are 22'' long 12'' wide
Unit includes 12' Grounded chords from ballast to power outlet- the reflectors each have 10' chords as well to give user plenty of length to install in small or large aquariums
External ballast box has large ventilation areas to help keep ballast cool
