the garf bonsai... anyone know the secret to keeping it purple all the way down to the base? ... mine is purple tipped.... and the outter rim of the encrusting base is purple... other parts are tan to greenish. when i first got it, it was solid purple. I've a secale with the same problem... beautiful purple tips, but dull underneath.

dont have a recent pic of the bonsai... but this is the secale in question....

Kip I keep my bonsai all most on the bottom, keeps its purple color better. When I had just vho's it had the best color and grew much faster.
