Need recommendation for flow

I need a recommendation on flow in my upcoming tank.

Tank is: 36" x 20" x 22", 1.5" acrylic (braceless)

I'm planning to keep all SPS, and was hoping for a large amount of turnover and turbulent flow.

I don't like how huge the tunze streams are, but the nano streams look promising!

Will the 6045's do well in my tank? I'm thinking of putting 4 in my tank, and counting on their turbulence to create random flow.

The controllable ones are interesting, but cost twice as much and put out a bit more per powerhead in terms of wattage and flow, plus I'll need a few controllers.

Would nano streams be a good option for me?

I would get the 6055 only for the fact that you can put them in a controller which becomes very useful in a reef tank.

well it's all about turbulent flow. if I have four tunze 6045's blowing at each other providing over 80x turnover (including my return pump of 700gph after headloss) it should provide better turbulence.

for $400 I can get four 6045's, but for $400 I can barely get two 6055's, and I still need $260 for the multicontroller =/

The 6055 pulses and so this provides added turbulence and with the programs the 6055 offers there are some cool options. The 6045 could only be alternated on timers at 15 minute intervals so it would work but I think the 6055's would be my personal choice.

You could run two 6055s on a single controller. All you would need would be the Y adapter. I wish I would have forked out the cash for two 6000s for my 75 instead of a 6060.

Y Adapter? you mean for the outlets so that they'll be controlled at the same time, but behave exactly the same?
