Need Recommendation on Dosing Equipment.

Okay so I am at the stage where I would like to add a dosing unit on my aquarium to automate the addition of Zooplankton, Phytoplankton, Magnesium and Kalkwasser (seperate it from the auto top off unit currently in place) and also to control the effluent from my Calcium reactor. Price is not too much of a factor and I have been thinking about two dosing units in particular. What are everyone thoughts?

I have the T01 and it is 100% accurate (Tested at 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, and 120ml). The only issue is there are still no replacement heads for them if they go bad.

That worry me a bit personally. I would feel much more comfortable with something I could replace if it goes bad. Thank you for the information.

Yeah, it did worry me at first, but you get a 1 year "bumper to bumper" warranty on the thing and honestly the 4 head add on unit is cheap enough that I don't worry about it.

That and I only dose 2 things (cal/alk) so if one head burns out I'm still ok.
 
isnt it possible to use your ATO as a doser? or should i be looking into one of these when i get some corals in. soft for now untill i go led then ill go with mix of hard and soft. sorry not trying to thread jack but im in the same boat if the ATO wouldnt work as a doeser

Im my opinion the Auto Top Off unit would not serve you as well as a doser would. Sure you could connect a timer and valve along with you own calculation to control the addition of whatever your looking to dose but a dosing pump is a specialized piece of equipment that gives you precision doses and also has other benefits because of the design of the pump like no back siphoning. If you have more questions please feel free to send me a PM or start a thread specifically on the comparison and contrast of dosing pumps and ATO's. If you search the threads I am pretty sure you will find something in regards to this already.

Replacement dosing heads/pumps are now available for the bubble magus dosing equipment!!! $50 for a motor and $25 for a dosing head (includes tubing)!
