Need some advice on Lighting and GBTA in a BC29

Hello I am hoping someone can help me out. I have read most of the information about BTA and most of them suggest T5 lighting. That being said, I have a BC29 and they dont make T5 in 20 inch hoods. The only option I have is a SunPod 70 watt or Sunpod 150 watt. One of the factors that makes this decision hard is that the GBTA is positioned right smack in the center of the tank, the most intense light will be focused on it. I know the 250 watt Sunpod was way too much, what do you guys think of the 150 or 70 watt versions. Thank you so much for your help.

i have a 70W sunpod over my BC8 and my GBTA is doing fine. I think 150W would be fine for a BC29

How tall is the BC8 and where is your GBTA planted in relation to the lamp itself. My guy is right under where the 150 watt lamp would be. My guy seems to be happy with the stock BC29 lighting, despite all the info that I have read about how these guys perfer intense lighting. I tried the 250 watt SunPod and he looked a little stressed under it, not to mention the temp spike.

I have a RBTA in a stock BC29 with the power compact lights. It is doing well so far. Grew from 2" to 4" with good color.

Hmmm... I am wondering if I should just keep it in the stock lighting now?

My BTA is in a 25gal BC with a 150 W MH Sunpod. He has done great for the last 1.5 years, has not divided, but has quadrupled in size. My only complaint is that his tenticles are long as opposed to "bubbled".
