Hey i wrote you about a week ago. i just got my osmolator universal. and need some help!

i do not understand how to connect the pump to the controller. i know i am spossed to use the split wires on the pump to connect them to the reb/black wires and on the control, but how do i do that? do i have to loosen the 4 screws on the red/black wires on the plastic thing thats connect to the red/black wires or what?

also it says on the pump 9V or 12 V MAX but why does this matter i mean it gets hooked to the controller?? any thoughts on this one?? thanks!

i really approciate any help you can give me! thanks!

Nick

You leave the 2 screws on one side alone and insert the pump wire and tighten the screws to clamp the wires in place. At 12V the unit pumps more, at 9V it pumps less. I generally prefer 9V as the pump will last longer. 12V is best though if using a calcium dispenser or the old Osmolator 3150.

ok i still dont understand there are 4 screws 2 on each side, so one wire goes in one side and the other wire goes on the other side right??

i do not understadn how to attach the pump at all?

thanks!

Nick

The screws clamp down the wires, if you can't figure it out the part is called a European wire coupler and is available at Radio Shack- they could probably give you a demo. Anyway, it is really simple with the screws loose insert the wires from the controller on one end- it should have been delivered this way. Tighten the screws. Insert the wires from the pump on the other end and tighten those screws. You are ready to go after that.
