Need some help with setting up a Refugium

I am in a dilemma here....I have never set up a refugium and was looking into it for my 125 reef I am setting up which needs to be up and running this week. I would like to know if anyone had some time to maybe help me set one up this week after work, weekend? I will get some pics posted today of the plumbing which is partially done (T valve off the return pipe). If not, I will just have to go with the plain old sump and maybe try to set one up later.

Thanks guys,

Jeff

I could possibly help some time this week. All we have is unpacking and stuff. Don't start work until next monday.

When were you planning to do this?

Hey Jeff, Do you already have the sump tank? Do you also have a tank, tub, etc. to use for the fuge? Any photos of the setup so far?

I went to my house this afternoon to take pictures when my GF picked up her phone. Well needless to say I forgot! ugh! I will take them later tonight probably and post tomorrow...I think this can be pulled off after I have the tank set up (tomorrow is the day I am setting the tank up) since the T valve is alread installed with some PVC flex pipe :) I bought a rubber maid tub already and will prop it up higher since the Sump is taller and run a pipe from the tub into the sump. This shouldn't involve any drilling, but a bit of pvc routing...not sure if it will work yet or not, but we will see... Long story short, I have some time now :)

Well i put together the tank...doesn't look like much room at all for a refugium...ugh...

Long story short, one of the return pipes has a leek at the fitting...Guess I need to try and replace the fitting tomorrow...:(

There is always some room, just may have to move things around and change sizes.

Sucks about the fitting. Make sure that everything has plenty of cement on it before putting it together because afterwards is too late.

Let me know if you still need any help.

will do! thanks grog! I may call you this week...Are you by UCF?

I would like to see what you think of this and what I could do...or anyone else for that matter...:)

Nope, I am further south. Just south of 417 and east of Orange Ave.

If you want help, just ask!!! My engineering degree and my ability to "modify" really has come in handy in this hobby!!
