1) Can be seen in the pictures above. Dead center on the BIGGEST plug. I included close ups as well. Has an ORANGE skirt, and yellowish/Green blotches in the center. I bought this as 3 heads for $10, and it has since turned to 7 :) Flouresces like crazy!

2) Seen to the RIGHT of the big plug, looks SIMILIAR to the above but the blotch is more light yellow, and the skirt is RED. Also seen in the close up pics above. I saw this at my local LFS, it was the ONLY head in the center of a colony of green zoas. He clipped it out for me and sold me the frag for $5 : )

3) Top pics, to the left of the big plug. A more turquoise polyp, and a large polyp at that! Larger than my magician paly heads, but grows like a zoa!

4) Again, top pics, In the VERY Back right, behind the AoG Palys. It almost looks to be a kin of a dragon eye, but much different. It has a half bright neon green skirt with black in the skirt too, then a dark green ring with white spots (like a tye dye) then a lighter green / yellowish middle. Very awesome.

5) Can be seen above. It's again similiar to the dragon eye, but also has much variation. I have dragon eyes in my tank, and they don't have the character or qualities of these. This has a Green and black skirt under LED, then a BLUE ring with white spots, followed by another black/brown ring, then a Green Center. I can't catch the blue well, because these are cell phone pics, but try and see it : ) Its there.

6) LAST ID I need. Three pics seen above. Forgot about this one as its in one of my other tanks : P The closest thing I've found to it are the METALLIC DREAMZ in coralpedia. Still a little different. But can't find any for sale. Got a steal on this, bought the whole colony for $20 from a LFS. Anyone know the going rate p/p or what this may actually be?!

Anyone have ideas? : )

Now, if you have suggestions to what they could be, with actual names, that would be fantastic.

Thanks.

Please refer to the above quote. I've checked coralpedia already per the sticky in the zoa id section. I've stated this twice now. Please be an asset to the site and help members and not an annoyance. Please and Thanks.

The only one I can ID is one is a "sunburst zoa". The one with the yellow middle and red skirt. Still don't know what the orange is. I found it here:

The ones at the bottom may be Metallic Dreams, but my Centers don't look as round, and the colors are slightly off. I know there are morphs, but just seeing if anyone else thinks it may be something else. I found the reference on coralpedia (as stated) and here for rarity via price:

I'm not sure why everyone is so pre-occupied with zoa and paly names.

Just call them as they are; if you open up individual zoa and paly profiles you will see sometimes there is a big difference between individual specimens of supposedly the same type. Someone once informed me I had "hairy gorilla nipples in my tank" and I almost slapped them. There are no gorilla nipples in my tank, those are orange eye, yellow skirted zoas.

PS

You have 10 posts, and you are telling a person with over 13,000 to not be an annoyance. That wasn't very nice of you.

I appreciate your feedback :) However, here is how I feel. Regardless if I have 10 posts on this website, and someone else has 13,000, it doesn't give tenure for them to treat new members that way. I follow forum rules, I am very active (and the top posters) of many other hobbies and forums. This isn't my first rendezvous with forum posts. The thing that irks me the most, is this individual has seemed to help everyone else who has posted an ID question, and all of them were on coralpedia. Yet, he didnt just link the website. I would never respond to someone's question as "you can find it here: www.google.com". Especially when the individual said they already tried.

Now, as for how you feel about zoa names - you ARE in the zoa ID section. The names may not matter to you, but they matter to anyone and everyone who posts in this section. I have 3 tanks, Ive been in the hobby for a while, and I have 90% zoas. Names matter to me. These are why I am in the saltwater hobby. Different strokes for different folks.

Regardless of this all, we are how many posts in this thread now?! And not one person has offered insight to what they think anything is. Not one thing. Just baffles me.

I take the time to take the pictures, upload the pictures, describe each frag / colony, and give as much insight about it as I can. I did it all with a cell phone trying to get the best shot when the polyps are open while dealing with the curved glass. Specifically to get opinions of others. And Im basically told to go look for myself.

13,000 posts means squat to me. Leadership, Character, and Effort to help others is what matters most. It's purely for interpretation and discussion.

i dunno , but they are nice.
don't worry, you get that alot on the zoa forum. you'll also hear " i have seen those at every lfs" and "i have (or used to have) hundreds of polyps of those" but nobody can actually show you a picture. funny stuff.
welcome and please do stick around!

I'm apart of too many saltwater organizations to leave :) People will be trolls when they want to be, it's just the internet. Doesn't really bother me.

And thanks! I seem to get a new zoa each week, and usually have good luck id'ing most! Thanks for the positive remarks :)

Anyone else have an idea what these can be?
