Does anyone have a ATI Powermodule? Do you like it and how does it perform compare to the Tek Unit.

I haven't used the ATI, but my understanding is that the active cooling will get you more output and longer bulb life than the Tek. IME, the problem with the passive cooled Tek is that if you use the splash guard you'll have heat problems, but the reflector will corrode (quickly) if you don't.

I'm going to mod fans into my Tek. The new Tek elite has active cooling, but is $100+ more.

I have a 4 bulb unit.I cant say how it performs compared to Tec.From the comparisons I researched before purchase,I want to say twice the par or close to that but that was 2 years ago. The fans on the unit are silent.

The one I purchased came out of germany,since then I believe they have come from more places or manufactured else where as well.I have heard some complaints but cant reference any off the top of my head.I

Thanks guys. I have two tek unit right now and just want to try out something different see how it affects my corals.

If you browse the SPS forum, you will see that people post significantly higher light output with the ATI's vs. the Tek.

I have a Tek retro kit and it seems to be enough light....
