hey all, I just finished moving my tank here from the Toledo area and I added a 5 inch dsb during the move. I am wondering if anyone has an established dsb I can get a cup or two of sand from to help seed my new sandbed with all the worms and other life needed for it to function. if anyone has a dsb please let me know, I can give you some compensation if neccissary, just need small amount of live sand to start the ball rolling. thanks

Welcome to the Cleveland area! I have lots of live sand and you are welcome to have some but it may not be worth the drive all the way out here.
Although, I am in Lakewood sometimes and could meet you somewhere this week if you would like. There should be plenty of members around you that would give a few spare cups of sand. I'm surprised that nobody has replied yet. If you are headed to Salty Critter (the best LFS IMO) soon he sells the sand out of the display tanks for $4.50 /lb I think. I bought a few lbs to seed my tanks and it is good stuff.

Let me know what kind of schedule you are on and maybe we could find a good place/time to meet.

PS. Hope you will be joining us in the club. C-SEA is a lot of fun and there are many nice members you can get to know. Mike is supposed to be getting us some nice membership cards this year :D

Salty Critter will also order you some Florida LS for $2.50 a lb. IT was slighty finer than what he had onsite and matched my tank better. Took a week and worked great. I'd offer you some but my tank has only been up for 6 weeks.
