Hello all,
I have been reading these threads to learn more about aquarium photography. I had an old fuji point and shoot which I could never get that great of images from even after editing. The camera died on me, well it drains new batteries in a day with the camera off so it has retired. I had found the a few threads on here about what lenses and cameras to use very informative. The question I have for you is if a used deal I found is worth the money. I hope this is ok to post. Found this on craigslist.
(1.) Nikon D70
(2.) 18-70 f3.5/4.5G AF-S DX Zoom Nikkor lens
(3.) 70-300 f4-5.6D ED AF Zoom Nikkor lens (This is the D/ED US version, NOT the cheaper 70-300G version)
(4.) Nikon rechargeable Li-ion batteries (two)
(5.) Nikon remote shutter release
(6.) Lens Hoods (both), Soft bag for lens, Shoulder strap, lens caps, LCD monitor cover, USB and video cables, AC quick charger with cord, all manuals and CDs.
I have talked to the guy on the phone and he also said he will throw in 2 memory cards and a book he bought that is on the d70. The cost for all of this is $600, which is bellow his asking price after a little bit of negotiation. I asked how many shots he has taken with this camera and he thought somewhere around 25,000 which is half of the cameras life expectancy. Is there a counter on the d70 to know the exact number of shots? Any advice is greatly welcomed. This is a big investment for me and I want to make sure the money is well spent. Thanks for your help and time.
