Ok, so I wanted to update to the newest firmware on my P3. I did a backup of all settings and data. I then tried to perform firmware update through Plc using USB. I connected through usb and pressed "accept" but. I did not notice the controller asking if I wanted to "download now" so I sat there for a few minutes before realizing this then I pressed "yes". A short while later I got an error message. I immediately panicked and said a few curse words thinking I had just locked up my P3. Luckily it seems it did not lockup or update anything as my P3 is still controlling the tank fine. The problem is that now I am unable to connect through USB to make any adjustments...much less attempt the firmware update. I imagine the only way to get an error without completely erasing the firmware was to make the mistake I did by not pressing yes on the controller.
Now how do I connect thorough USB? Delete the connection settings and create a new connection through USB? I am honestly a bit nervous that it seems so dangerous to do a simple firmware update. I did order a USB-rs232 cable to have as a backup, but how can I reconnect through USB now? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Is my USB info lost on the P3 now. I posted this on the support forum, but have not got any reply yet.
