I am looking for some suggestions on fish to add to my tank. I am open to most anything that will jive with my current stock. If you have a favorite fish let me know why!

Thanks,

Zeke

I have a 120 High with ~160 lbs of live rock
Mostly Zoas and LPS. (Stocking Coral ATM)

Fish:
Flame Angel
Tomini Tang
Sleeper Banded Goby
2 black/white Ocellaris Clowns

Inverts:
2 Rose BTE (he split already)
1 Fire Shrimp
1 Peppermint Shrimp
3 Turbo Snails
2 Lettuce Nudibranches (that just reproduced so countless little ones!)
1 Little Bear Conche

Ignore the previous poster, he's a knucklehead.

How about some pajama cardinals or an anthias or two!

I'm a fan of royal grammas. They are common but they are peaceful and add a nice splash of purple to the tank. It's always the first fish that gets noticed in my 75 gal. Anthia's are nice looking fish but require multiple feedings a day. Also your flame angel may cause some problems with your corals especially zoas, but some people get lucky with them.

Thanks for the suggestions. I didn't want to seem needy lol. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong. Forum communities can be touchy.

I've been watching the angel pretty close and he's been good. Him and the tang cruz the caves together and pick the rocks all day. They also love those New Era Grazer discs. I just drop em on the bottom instead of the suction cup.

anyone have input on multiple basslets in my tank? I like the Macneill's Assessor and Black Cap. Any thoughts or experience with both together?

cool, I was going to recommend black caps...they are beautiful fish- though if the back of your tank is painted black, don't get as they are tough to see...
basslets can be very aggressive towards each other...try to find a bonded pair...

1 spot foxface, bluejaw trigger, dwarf lion fish. My 3 favorite fish
Get them and you won't be disappointed.

Not those two, but I did try keeping a splendid and a purple (not the orchid, the other one) in a 180 and it did not go well. After about a week the purple just stopped appearing.

I don't think mixing them would be a good idea as you pointed out.

The LFS near me has a gamma and a chalk. but they want $35 each...It seems a bit high priced to me... I think the chalk looks good and fat. The Gamma is not looking to good.

Those are dottybacks, not basslets. ;)

I haven't had personal experience with mixing basslet species, but I would avoid doing so as they are territorial. Usually not much of a problem when the other fish aren't basslets.

Update

I went to the LFS today because I wanted to look at some fish. Mainly I wanted to see a Copperband Butterfly. I've been looking at him for a couple weeks. I mainly wanted to stop in when the owner was around so I could get the lowdown on his diet. They have had him for 2 months and the weekend clerk said he was eating the frozen stuff they feed the rest of the tanks. The owner said he gobbles mysis from his hands. He showed me him eating and he gobbled some mysis. I pulled the trigger and took him home. I gave him a medicated dip and put him in the QT. He is ate more frozen Mysis. Looks like a got a good eater so I'm pretty stoked. I am going to see if I can get him to eat some mussels.

I am still looking for recommendations for tank as I have some room still.
