Need timer for Icecap ballasts

I'm looking for a good timer to use on my icecap 250watt halide ballasts. I have one of those old school timers where you turn the dial and flip the little doodads up and down but that must not have enought umph to fire the ballasts.


Icecap suggested their Digital Icecap ballasts but I didn't really want to spend $38 for each timer!

Any suggestions?

I don't believe that nobody runs timers on their ballasts!

I have 2 Icecap 660 ballasts and I use the same timer you're talking about. I don't know about the differences in my ballasts and yours, but the timer has worked for at least 3 years without breaking down or not firing up for me.

I just use an Intermatic timer (heavy duty appliance 3 prong) the kind with the little red and green timer trips that you pull out and can move to another time.... used them for years, no problems...
