I have a 225 that will on be my hardwood floors the problem is that the hardwood floors are real brizillian hardwood floors not that prego stuff .What should I put under the stand to protect my floors

If you are that worried about the floors perhaps you ought to find another location :) I think that no matter what you do, water will get on the floor.

Just keep some old towels on the floor when working in the tank, this should catch any drips from your arms or siphon hoses, and if you spill something, the towels are already right there for quick cleaning. Have a set just for this purpose. If your floors are well sealed, and you dont end up with a flood situation, everything should hold up nicely.

You could put some type of huge rubber gasket around the edge underneath the tank to keep water from seeping under it.

Could you put a tasteful but not overly expensive rug down underneath. As long as you don't have any moderate to severe accidents, I would think that would keep the floors pretty safe.

I'd say keep a towel constantly handy to wipe any spillage, but also watch the ordinary microspray that happens near the overflow and runs down wires or tubing: I'd shield that to be sure it doesn't salt the wall and ultimately the floor. To prevent any mark on the floor, I'd use broad dish coasters to support the tank legs or skids---it would spread the weight out so there won't be a dent...but be very certain of position.

another sugesstion would be to use a pond liner which you can get at any home depot or lowes in different thickness and place this under the stand, they are black and of course water proof
