So last night one of my RBTAs was on the glass of the tank roaming toward the PH so I moved him to the rocks . When I came home from work today I saw this.



That is the foot of the RBTA stick out of my carpet's mouth. I guess the BT decided to keep roaming and got caught by the carpet. :blown:

I'll keep an eye on the carpet to make sure he doesnt develop any indigestion from his cannibalism but theres nothing else that can be done I dont think.

That's a bummer and maybe a first for me anyway, but I gotta say, if I had a nice blue hadonni like that I'd be pretty over losing a BTA pretty quick!
Hopefully it does not cause you issues, but keep us posted.

Poor guy. Figured if he wanted to commit suicide, the powerhead would have been quicker and less painful.

Interested to see how it does after that meal. I know my Mag did not like touching my RBTA one bit.

He's a little gapey today but that's understandable considering the meal he had. He also seems like hes grown overnight as well although it's probably just me. lolz

His mouth is the same color as before other than it being open a bit wide. I think he still may be digesting.

I think all in all it still looks pretty darn good for having just digested another anemone that I would expect probably came w/ some allelopathy.
As to it's size, yeah, after seeing nems in the past eat something more than what I planned to give for food, I swore the same thing too, and I'm pretty sure we're both right that there was some sort of growth spurt afterwards.

It's mouth is fine now. It did discharge a little glob of goop .
