It was looking better for a few weeks so I got it out of the QT tank and put it back into it home. After 3 days it started to look like HELL. SO it is now in my other tank untill I get the QT tank back up and going for it. The heater for the QT is broke so It lived in this tank once apon a time and did great. So after getting it back in it started looking better. this after noon it looks like it is going down hill again. Does it look like it can be saved and turn back around? i have had it for 1 year and it used to be great untill the clowns died I put it in the QT got it looking better then put it back into its tank it used to be in with clowns. I think some bristle worms atacked it. that is another reason I took it back out of that tank. No clowns to protect it. any ideas or hope left for this little guy?
Here is a before and after/NOW....

its only half of it that look like hell. the bottom is still holding its self to the glass in the QT tank.... No Hope for that?

when i looked and seen some worms all around it i got worried. Now P O.

yeah it's a goner mate.. been there. They seem to hold on with the foot remarkably long even when pretty much dead.

Sorry for the loss, hopefully it dosen't take your tank with it like mine did :mad2:

Oh and dont breathe while pulling that carcass out until you've got it disposed off and you've left the room/house/zip code.

Thou hast not smelt stank until thou gets a whiff of a dead anemone..

I truly believe dead anemone is the most foul odor I have ever had the misfortune to smell. Rotten eggs, dead fish, roadkill, dog poop, kid vomit - nothing else even begins to compare. And yes, I have had to smell some nasty shyt in my day...

Just a note that the worms VERY likely only came for it after it was already dieing. The worms wouldn't have been the cause.

All I know its gone... I am not going to go down this path again. Now if i do clowns again I will let them use the big frog spawn I have. still looking into this. I was soo upset over this loss. I have found the cause for it. but i do not want risk it again.

Sorry, but like everyone has said, it's toast....bonzai: dead nem pieces in skimate = nightmares for a week lol

I know it is.... Its in the trash...... I gave it a qt tank to give it a fighting chance and NOT to destroy my other tank along with it. at the time of the question i was hoping there was somthing I could do to turn it around but too late now. It was a great nem while it lasted but the ritteri nem was not as good the second time around.

A LFS that I trusted sold me a fish that just came in and they did not give it time to mellow out after its trip. Took the fish home in the morning it had Ich all over it. SO i talked to the LFS they suggested a all natural ich treatment that would not mess with the corals or anything else. WELL turns out it crashes tanks.... GREAT STUFF RIGHT? well the poor little NEM never recovered from it. got the tank back to normal but it was too late. odd thing was they corals did not show any signs of distress at all. not durring the whole thing. the fish where ok till i put them in a QT tank and then then the HEATER did not turn off and COOKED MY Fing fish. the company that makes the heater compinsated me for the heater and the fish but thats not the point. It was one thing after another. I WAS and still a bit P O about everthing. the only thing that is fine is the corals shrimps crabs snails.
One thing after another. so that is it in a nut shell.

It certainly could have been, but It's not certain that the mystery ich treatment was the culprit. It's notoriously difficult to acquire a healthy H. Mag, and even if you do, they are known to be one of the more difficult nems to keep.

I have to say it was a disaster from the start. After the problems started it just got worse and worse. Once it started to show major signs of distress there was no stopping it. I tried but it was not to be.. I am going to give nems a break for a year or so or forever. just let the clowns have the frog spawn. it was a good run while it lasted. feel bad for loosing it. I dont like having live stock die on my watch.
