Nem / Porcelain

I have a large sebae nem (roughly 6 or 7") with a smaller porcelain crab hosting it. Currently I have no clowns. I have heard if I get a clown that it will take over the nem and move the crab out. Is this true?

Can't say it happens all the time, but when my pink skunk pair switched Haddonis, they clicked out its crab. Who now hangs out on the rocks near the anemone.

Thanks todd.. so far I have not heard "mine lived together in happiness" from a few different sources LOL. Have only heard "mine kicked it out". To me wouldnt matter too much but my fiance loves that crab.

I've had a candy with a porcelain for about a year with a clown and the clown runs from it. Also lately the crab has been on the rock behind the anemone like he broke up with it lol.

My clarkii is hosted by a rose anemone and my nem crab stays their to at night the crab moves under the anemone so the clown can sleep

You can see the crab in the bottom left. At first the female perc picked at him, but now she just ignors him. They get along fine now.

Awesome. Glad to hear some good stories. I may have to tempt a clown. The nem is HUGE so shouldnt be any space issues. It is probably 8" across or so and the crab is so small.

I was pretty certain my mean maroon female would have kicked out or just killed a porcelain(intro's after clowns) but she seemed fine w/ it, as well as a nem shrimp, and a sexy shrimp, but my nem was pretty dang big.
The crab may end up residing under the nem kinda out of the way/semi hidden, maybe.

my porcelain crab is just a tiny little fellow but hes missing a little fan now he uses one arm to feed oh and by the way the pics of your crab looks fantastic
