I have heard of cleaner gobies on occasion hollowing out live clams and nesting in them. Is this just something a single specimin did, or is this a general habit of these fish? Have you ever observed this?
sorry, i have never heard of this before. i suspect that this was either a freak occurance, or the product of a story changing thanks to too many tongues re-telling the story.
i would agree that a hollowed out clam would make for a nice nesting spot for the gobies. luckly, the gobies feel a much more affordable piece of PVC cut about 6 inches long makes a nicer home.
