I purchased this from postal a long time ago but never used it. If I remember correctly 1 of the sockets doesn't turn off but it does work it's stuck on. But maybe it's the other way around. This unit connects with I think it's call an r11 phone cord I do not have this cable. That needs to plug straight into your apex.

I need something that can handle more amps per outlet. From what I can read, this one is for lower amps <6.

What the heck r u running that pulls more then 6 amps an outlet? My 250w halides only pulled 2 amps

I thought dc8 was for the old aqua controllers, and eb8 was for apex. Are they backwards compatible?

The dc8 works with aqua controller also but it doesn't connect with Aqua bus cable (usb) it connects direct to the spot on the main apex unit labeled control.
