Neptune Wav flow modes vs Vortech flow modes

So both of these pump systems basically have identical flow modes. Neptune just renamed them different things but fundamentally they are all the same as what Ecotech does.

So, I'm curious... For those of you with Wavs, how do you like the flow patterns created by them versus the Vortechs? Mind you, I am not asking about the pumps versus the pumps purely, I am asking about the pumps coupled with their respective algorithms for creating natural flow. I'm particularly interested in their randomized and tidal/nutrient transport modes, not so much static stuff like just pulses.

So, for example, we all know the tried and true method of putting a Vortech on each end of the tank facing one another. Works great. If you do the same thing with Wav, how do these modes compare? If you put the Wavs on the back angled toward the middle, how do they compare?

I have 3 on a 375 and they have exceeded my expectations with flow. I've had mp60s on the same tank and wasn't as impressed. Also for the money and extra features a much better buy then vortechs not to mention saving you the outlets on your controller especially if you have a new apex with the eb8-32

BRS has the Apex + Wav kit on sale right now. I wasn't prepared to spend the money on an Apex yet, but it's an intriguing offer.

Have you got any other pumps creating flow in your 375? Or is this sufficient? And how do you have them arranged? I have long been thinking about getting the WAV starter kit for my 300.

I have one on the left side pointing slightly up and 2 on the right one creating some surface agitation and the other pointed slightly down. My FLO averages around 3.8, 4 is recommended for lps coral. I dont have any sps but softies and lps are looking great. This also on 8 foot long tank 30" deep and 30" tall. They are only pumps on tank. If iadded a 4th i cant imagine id have problems keeping sps. Also i dont have pumps turned to 100% on most modes. They ramp up and down depending on program from 1-85% for the most part.
