Hi Ryan,

I actuallly have 8 cardinals (Apogon leptacanthus), but only 5 decided to pose for the photos

How are your cardinals holding up ? We are thining about adding a dozen or so to our 380g tank.. Great looking tank and livestock btw :D

Thanks Joao, we are looking at getting a dozen or so for our tank... any advice or information that we might need to know about these fish ? :) Any regrets ? Would you buy them again if you had the choice ?

Thanks :)

Any updates on your tank ? (IE: pictures ? :))

Wow! Just checking back in one this thread - Thoase are amazing pics Joao! Beautiful animals! Thanks so much for posting them :D

Sparkss,

Like Marie (Angel*fish) told me before I got mine, they are really "standstill" fishes. They just stay in the area of the tank they choose to live and hardly move from there (only to eat or if bothered). So, if you´re lucky - like I was - and they choose an area in the front, you see them all the time; if they choose a cave of your tank...

I wanted a school that would stay like that without problems between them. So, for that effect, it was a good choice; but sometimes, I think they´re just too...quiet. Like freshwater fish, if you know what I mean.

As regards updating, the tank is more a less the same. I´ve just been waiting for things to grow.

In the next weeks I´ll finally set up the calcium reactor and later post here the outcome

Marie,
Thanks.

Hehe, well, I am not sure how much they will be able to stand still in our tank with the 4 Vortecs running :), but hopefully it definitely won't be in a cave or some other place out of sight.

Thanks for the update :)

Hello Joao,

nice looking tank, especially the pics from the "other" Joao...
