They aren't the most adventurous fish in the tank are they? I keep threatening mine - I've told them if they don't start hanging out in a single group, I'm going to buy a triigger. But that never scares them - all they do is stare at me, flicking their dorsal spines a little.

Eheheh, you are funny !
I think my (chicken) Apogons are always a bit threatened by the lyretail anthias. They just move to fast....specially at feeding time. Maybe that´s why they stay close to each other and move - only when absolutely needed !- together.

hey Joao:

Check him out- so far so good.

Beautiful boy, J. !

How big is he ? 6-7" ?

The pattern (right spelling ? ) of mine is totaly different: looks more like a maze and its a bit darker (greyish). But as I told you before, I´m, still not sure if it is still the juv. pattern (he/she is only 4") or if I have a female.

I actually bought him because he was smaller than all the other males I had seen. He is no bigger than 6 inches, which I thought was unheard of, but there he is. Heres another pic.

Hi. Updating the topic

Starting with some info of the past... months

- I had a loss of power of about 9hrs. When I noticed it the temp was around 20º C (68ºF ?). I was concerned about it as you may imagine, but, at the end of the day, no major problemas occurred. Only a pocillopora that was partially "dry" for to many hours lost the tissue in some tips. But it´s recovering well;

- I started to have some algae (Derbesia, mainly) and some Cyano with no apparent reason. After rechecking the equipment, I remebered that the cartridges (right word ?) of the RO were...way too old...
I got a tds meter and the result was a bit scaring...89 ppm!!!
So.. I´ve been feeding algar for a few months, problably (stupid...). I changed everything and with the weekly water changes, things are coming back to normal;

- Meanwhile, I´m increasing a bit the circulation. Added a Tunze nanostream 6025 below/under the rockwork and will be adding another nanostream (still deciding if the price differente between the 6045 and the 6055 compensates)

Here´s a pic of the first nanostream already in place

I cut the back panel to accomodate it

- I´ve also changed the location of some corals that were getting to close and removed others (mainly softies). I also removed some LR to the fuge to create more room for (now bigger) corals and fish

So... enough chat and lets look at the pics
