New 6025s...front cover doesnt close on top

Roger,

I just piced up 2 6025s for my frag tank. On both, the slotted cover doesn't fit tightly on top (where the cord hole is). It almost seems like the cord is too thick and is blocking the cover from sliding in all the way. It's secure on the bottom, but pulls away from the top with no effort.

I thought the rounded cord 6025s were the 'next generation'. Any fix for these?

All 4 of mine do the same thing. I had to take a knife and trim the slot out a little deeper. Even with doing that, I find the front cover not to fit the best. I love the pumps, but the front cover doesnt stay in place that well.

Pull the cords back firmly so the cover can clip in. You can also sand or file the notch just a little deeper but it shouldn't be necessary as most likely it is just the cord pushing the cover and eventually it will retain the shape and not push forward and push the cover off.

i used a dremel to open the space out a little so the covers dont pop off
