New 6201 with wrong power adapter.

I have brand new 6201 that I just put in my aquarium, but it looks like the power adapter is not the correct one so it will not connect to the pump. I tested the pump itself and pump works with my other 6201 power adaptor, so it is fine. How do we handle this?

Can you send me a new power adapter with prepaid shipping so I can ship you back the wrong one?

Cagri, I have not gotten to the PM's yet but can you better describe the issue? Does the tip not fit in the pump connector, wrong cord, wrong power supply? Basically, is it the tip, the plug or the power supply itself, all are seperate and I can send the part you need.

Just to give an update, Roger is sending me adapter tip to into my pump connection, I guess earlier models used this adapter and mine did not come with one.

My 6201 with the adapter you sent stopped working, the green light on the adapter blinks every 1 - 2 seconds, and no longer shows continues green light. Pump does not spin at all.

I will look at it more in detail tonight, let me know if there is anything you can suggest.

Do you have just one pump or two? My guess would be the pump has a problem and the transformer is blinking due to an overload. If you have another pump you can swap transformers to check.

yes I have 2 pumps, I switched the pump to use the other transformer(power adapter), and it did the same thing, pump runs about half second and stops, waits 2 seconds runs half second or less and stops with both power adapters.

What do you want me to do next? Send it in?

Take the pump out, remove the propeller, check for blockage, calcium build up etc. Do that and let me know if that helps.

I tried all that already, still the same, propeller turns for a split second and stops ever couple of seconds... Roger is already sending me a new motor.
